CENTRAL GAUL. Uncertain tribe. Circa 3rd-2nd century BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.42 g, 3 h), 'Hoard of Bridiers' type, imitating Emporion. Celticized head of Arethousa/Persephone to left, wearing pearl necklace; to left, two stylized confronted dolphins. Rev. Celticized horse standing left; above, stylized Victory flying left, holding wreath. CNH p. 19, 11D. DT 3303 var. (no dolphins). Flesche 170. Sills p. 20 and pl. 2, 46. Very rare and unusually well preserved. Slightly porous and with minor traces of corrosion and light scratches, otherwise, about extremely fine.
